A new addition to our heating line is the availablity of  heat pumps. These units have been available in southern states for many years, but were not judged to be cost effective in our northern climates due to their cost and temperature limitations. Advances in technology and the high cost of fuel have made these units ideal as an upgrade if your thinking of air conditioning. Heat pumps work simply by running your air conditioning in reverse and pulling heat from the outside air into your home or business. This means that you can heat your home or office for the same cost as you cool it when the outside temperatures are above 30 degrees fahrenheit or so. When the temperature falls below our outdoor setting, the forced air furnace automatically kicks in to keep you warm. Check with us for more information.
